Pashinyan: Russian peacekeepers no longer control the Lachin corridor

Pashinyan informed Putin about the loss of control by Russian peacekeepers over the Lachin corridor.

As part of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the latter announced that Russian peacekeepers no longer control the Lachin corridor. According to Pashinyan, control over the Lachin corridor was lost 20 days ago.

“This is the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. And I want to remind you that, according to the tripartite statement of the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, the Lachin corridor should be under the control of Russian peacekeepers. The Republic of Azerbaijan guaranteed the unhindered passage of passengers and cargo along the Lachin corridor. And now it turns out that the Lachin corridor is not under the control of Russian peacekeepers.”- said the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

At the moment, the situation in the Lachin corridor is indeed extremely difficult, since the only road to Karabakh is completely blocked - only vehicles of the International Red Cross pass through it.

In turn, it should be noted that the situation in the region is heating up quite strongly due to provocations from Armenia, which only aggravates the situation with the blockade of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh.
