Tajikistan's intelligence services prevented a series of terrorist attacks that were planned to be carried out during the celebration of Navruz, the national spring holiday celebrated from March 21 to 23. According to information received from a source in the republic's special services and transmitted to RIA Novosti, 15 people from Dushanbe and Vahdat were arrested, suspected of preparing terrorist acts.

At the moment, investigators are checking for a possible connection between the detainees and the perpetrators of the recent terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, which occurred on March 22.

The actions of the special services, which led to the arrest of the suspects before the start of the Navruz holidays, made it possible to avoid possible casualties among citizens and disruption of public order during one of the most significant holidays in Tajikistan, which symbolizes the beginning of spring and the rebirth of nature.

Tajikistan, like many other countries facing the threat of terrorism, demonstrates determination in the fight against terrorist groups and in preventing terrorist attacks aimed at undermining stability and security in the region.
