The Russian Aerospace Forces flew 100000 sorties in Syria.

Since the appearance of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria, and we are talking about 2015, the Russian military aviation performed more than 100 thousand sorties, during which terrorists were destroyed and the territory of the Arab republic was liberated, as stated by the commander of the Russian troops sent to Syria, within the framework of celebration of the day of the Russian Air Force.

Taking into account the foregoing, the Russian military aircraft, on average, carried out about 50 sorties per day during their stay in Syria. Even today, the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces is actively working on the destruction of both Turkish mercenaries in the north-west of the Arab Republic, and on the destruction of terrorists of the "Islamic State" (a terrorist group banned in Russia - ed.) In the central and eastern parts of Syria.

It should be noted that the Russian Aerospace Forces played a key role in the liberation of the territory of Syria from the terrorists of the "Islamic State", in fact, defeating most of the group in a few months. In the coming years, the capabilities of the Khmeimim airbase in Syria may be further expanded. In particular, it is assumed that long-range Tu-22M3 bombers can be based here on a permanent basis.
