Residents of Ishim are asked to urgently leave their homes and evacuate due to a critical rise in water

In Ishim, Tyumen Region, an emergency evacuation of residents has begun due to a critical rise in water levels in the Ishim River. Early in the morning, local authorities sent out a mass text message warning residents to leave their homes due to the threat of flooding.

The water level in the river near the village of Ilyinka reached 808 centimeters, which is considered a critical safety threshold. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the water continues to rise at a rate of about 27 centimeters per day, which significantly increases the risk of flooding of populated areas and the threat to human life and health.

The local population actively participated in the fight against the consequences of the flood. Volunteers and city residents are collecting and placing sandbags, creating temporary fortifications to protect the most vulnerable areas. Several thousand of these bags have already been prepared and shipped, which are used to strengthen areas not protected by dams.
