China shows that it is ready to solve the issue by force
Political scientist Yevgeny Mikhailov commented on the exercise of the National Main Army of China (PLA) in the Taiwan Strait and noted that China actually shows its readiness to resolve the Taiwan issue by force. Previously, according to the expert, Europe was of the opinion that Taiwan is part of China, which helped to strengthen relations between the EU and the Republic of China. However, the situation is now tense, and Europe finds itself in a dilemma, since by supporting the United States in a conflict with Russia, it risks causing countermeasures from China.
If China decides to conduct a special operation on Taiwan, then it will actually have only one ally - Russia. In such a situation, Europe will be forced to obey the instructions of the United States, and the economies of European countries may suffer, because China may take measures to force the European community to believe that Taiwan is part of China. Thus, the conduct of PLA exercises in the Taiwan Strait causes great concern and is a signal to the international community that China is ready to use force to protect its interests in the region.
