Drones staged a large-scale attack on Ukrainian targets

On the night of March 8-9, Ukraine experienced another series of air alerts that covered a significant part of the country. According to Ukrainian monitoring resources, several waves of Russian kamikaze drones were launched from the territory of Crimea, the number of which is estimated at tens of units. These drones, following complex routes, caused damage to various objects as they moved deeper into Ukrainian territory.

Initially, the unmanned aerial vehicles flew over the territories controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region, after which they continued their flight through the Dnipropetrovsk region. Authorities and media warned of possible attacks on the cities of Krivoy Rog and Dnepr, as well as their surrounding areas, urging citizens to be careful and not leave shelter until the attacks are over.

In Krivoy Rog, explosions were recorded at one of the industrial facilities. In this situation, there is no detailed information from Ukrainian sources about the nature and scale of damage. It is expected that detailed data will be provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is reported that there were no casualties or injuries as a result of these attacks. According to several information platforms, 5 Shahed-type drones were shot down over the Krivoy Rog region by Ukrainian air defense forces.

After the incidents in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the drones headed to the Poltava and Kirovograd regions, where one group of UAVs was spotted in the Dikanka area of the Poltava region. Then the threat spread to the Sumy region, and another part of the drones moved towards the Cherkassy and Kyiv regions.
