Bradley infantry fighting vehicle torn to pieces after the arrival of a Russian shell

Footage has appeared on the Internet showing the destruction of an American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) by a Russian guided projectile. The event occurred in conditions where the infantry fighting vehicle was used in an urban area, hiding among residential buildings - a tactic often used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

According to journalists, the artillerymen of the Brave group fired a high-precision projectile, which was probably either a 152-mm Krasnopol or a 122-mm Kitolov-2. Both types of ammunition can be aimed at a target using a laser designator, which allows for high strike accuracy even in urban areas.

It is noted that the aluminum armor of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle is not capable of withstanding a direct hit from heavy projectiles. The maximum protection that the armor of this vehicle is designed for is resistance to 30mm projectiles. The Bradley was hit in the upper projection, which is the least protected part of the vehicle.

After the shell hit, the vehicle lasted only 15 seconds, followed by a bright explosion with smoke and sparks caused by the detonation of the ammunition. Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost one unit of American infantry fighting vehicles.
