North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made a sharp statement, threatening South Korea with “complete destruction” if Seoul continues military provocations. This was reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Kim Jong-un expressed his readiness to use the entire arsenal of the DPRK's existing weapons to strike South Korea if its actions threaten the sovereignty and security of North Korea.

“If the Republic of Korea attempts to use military force against our nation or threaten our sovereignty and security, we will not hesitate to use the full arsenal of available means and forces to completely destroy the Republic of Korea.”, - Kim Jong-un emphasized during a visit to defense enterprises.

The DPRK leader also noted that the policy of confrontation pursued by the South Korean leadership is suicidal, pointing to Pyongyang's reluctance to provoke a war on the Korean Peninsula, but also not intending to avoid it.

Previously, Kim Jong-un stated that he does not see the possibility of unification with South Korea due to Seoul’s policy aimed at “absorbing” North Korea and bringing it to a single standard. He also called on the North Korean army to be prepared for military action, including the use of nuclear weapons.
