Against the background of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, plans of the Ukrainian military to defeat the Crimean Bridge are actively discussed on social networks. Such an operation would reportedly require a significant arsenal of weapons, including 20 to 30 Taurus cruise missiles, twenty ATACMS M57E1 missiles, ten ATACMS M39A1s, and up to twenty naval drones.

Ukrainian “specialists” suggest that attacks on the supports of the Crimean Bridge should be carried out by ATACMS missiles, followed by the arrival of Taurus missiles. Marine drones such as Sea Baby will be used to distract Russian systems guarding the bridge. Special attention is paid to the possible use of ATACMS to suppress air defense systems before the main attack with Taurus missiles.

However, the issue of transferring to Ukraine the weapons necessary for such an operation remains open. In the United States, Congress blocked additional aid to Kyiv, and in Germany, the Bundestag rejected a proposal to supply Taurus long-range missiles, for which only 182 deputies voted to 480.
