The American newspaper The New York Times reported the significant impact of Russian guided bombs on the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the destruction of underground bunkers.

Referring to data from 2023, the publication noted that Ukrainian troops are experiencing enormous difficulties due to the power of guided bombs, the effect of which is felt even by those who are accustomed to shelling. One Ukrainian soldier, call sign "Kit," described the impact of the bombs as "an airplane approaching and the gates of Hell opening."

In addition, the use of drones by Russian troops also seriously complicates the situation for the Ukrainian military.
