RIA Novosti: The Houthis tested a hypersonic missile

The Shiite Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement, which dominates northern Yemen and receives support from Iran, has made a significant breakthrough in the field of weapons, successfully testing a hypersonic missile. According to a RIA Novosti military source close to the movement, the new missile is capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 8, which corresponds to 10 thousand kilometers per hour, and runs on solid fuel. This discovery takes Ansar Allah's capabilities to a new level, allowing the group to strike strategically in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, and against targets in Israel.

In addition, the Houthis have modernized their missiles and drones, significantly increasing their destructive power. The leader of the movement, Abdel Malik al-Houthi, expressed confidence that the development of hypersonic missiles will be a landmark achievement that will bring Yemen into the ranks of countries with advanced military technologies.

The announcements followed reports that Yemeni forces had carried out attacks on 61 naval and military targets, surprising the US and UK. Al-Houthi emphasized the contribution of Yemeni troops in supporting the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel, and also warned of an aggravation of the situation if the United States intervenes in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
