Russia practiced strikes with Iskander-M missile systems near NATO borders

A training session for crews of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, organized by the Baltic Fleet, took place in the Kaliningrad region. The event was aimed at practicing a set of actions, starting from the moment of receiving the Alarm signal, preparing launchers, their camouflage and security, and ending with electronic missile launches.

The press service of the Baltic Fleet reported that during the training, the military personnel acted in conditions as close as possible to real ones. After receiving the Alarm signal, the personnel promptly moved to a certain area, where they prepared the Iskander launchers. Careful camouflage of equipment and protection of the area was organized, which is an important component of the successful completion of combat missions.

The final stage of the training was electronic launches, during which the crews practiced virtual missile launches at simulated targets. These training events allow crews to hone their missile strike control skills, ensuring high readiness for combat missions.

The Iskander-M missile system is capable of hitting missile systems and multiple launch rocket systems, long-range artillery, command posts, communication centers, as well as airplanes and helicopters at airfields at a distance of up to 500 km. This weapon system has high accuracy and maneuverability, which makes it an effective means of destroying various types of targets in modern armed conflict.
