A flight attendant accidentally pressed a button on a plane and almost caused a plane crash.

An incident occurred in the cabin of a Boeing 787 operated by Chilean airline Latam Airlines that almost led to a plane crash. According to The Wall Street Journal, on March 11, during a flight, one of the flight attendants, while serving passengers and distributing food to them, accidentally touched a switch located in the pilot's seat. This resulted in the captain of the aircraft, suddenly pushed towards the control panel, touching the lever, causing the aircraft to sharply lower its altitude and "peck its nose".

The incident in the cabin of passengers caused mass falls: some of them were thrown out of their seats, others ended up in the aisle. The pilot managed to quickly take control of the situation and stabilize the flight, but the participants in the incident could not recover from the shock they experienced for a long time. Videos leaked online clearly demonstrate the scale of the incident.

In response to the incident, Latam Airlines management informed all Boeing 787 operators of the need to prevent such situations. It was specified that the switch in the pilot's seat should be protected by a special cover to prevent it from being accidentally activated.
