The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, announced the country’s impressive technical capabilities in the production of FPV drones (First Person View). According to him, Ukraine is ready to produce more than a million of these unmanned vehicles and even more within a year. Earlier, the Ukrainian side announced that during 2024 it plans to produce and use about 200 thousand drones.

Fedorov noted that in 2022, only seven FPV drone manufacturers had the opportunity to enter into contracts with the state after undergoing trial operation. However, such a number of companies is critically small, and this became the impetus for changing policy in this area. As a result, more than 20 laws and regulations were adopted, including measures to reduce taxes on components, simplify the incorporation process for companies and increase profits.

Experts fear that if Ukraine actually reaches the production level of even 200 thousand drones, then this could become a very serious problem, while the production of 1 million UAVs could lead to serious consequences.
