As part of active hostilities in the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops achieved significant success, advancing into the depths of the defensive lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the latest data, progress has been made in the southwest of Industrial Avenue in Avdeevka, which allowed Russian units to move beyond the city limits in the direction of the village of Lastochkino and ensure control of the key ravine connecting this village with the 9th quarter of Avdeevka.

Of particular importance is the road between the village of Tonenkoe and the 9th quarter of Avdiivka, which represents the last direct transport artery connecting Ukrainian troops in the city with the rest of the territories they control. Currently, Russian troops have ensured complete fire control over this route, which significantly complicates logistics support and the transfer of reserves of the Ukrainian side to the combat area.

The continued advance of Russian units in this direction and the possible cutting of the mentioned road could lead to the formation of a double cauldron for Ukrainian forces located in the area of ​​the fortified point "Zenit", where a military air defense unit was previously located. This development of events will create an extremely difficult situation for the Ukrainian garrison, limiting the possibilities for maneuver and effective resistance.
