In the Moscow and Leningrad regions, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed Ukrainian-made drones. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, emphasizing that the attempt to attack Russian territory was stopped.

According to the official statement, at about 1:30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles was foiled. One of the drones was destroyed in the Moscow region, which was also reported by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The situation is of particular concern due to the fact that one of the drones was intercepted in the Leningrad region. Considering that the drone was launched from the territory of Ukraine, this means that the device was able to cover more than 700 kilometers.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction as a result of the operation of air defense systems.
