Explosions occurred in Kyiv and a number of other regions of Ukraine. The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, through his Telegram channel, called on citizens not to leave the shelter until the end of the air raid, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. He subsequently reported damage to two power transmission lines, which led to a power outage in some areas on the left bank of the Dnieper. According to reports from the Public TV channel, a series of explosions were also recorded in the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions. The head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration, Sergei Lysak, described the morning situation in the region as “loud,” mentioning destruction on the territory of one of the utility companies.

The situation is complicated by reports of explosions in other regions of Ukraine, including Kharkov, Nikolaev, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. In the Kharkov region, according to the head of the regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov, non-residential infrastructure was damaged.

In connection with these events, in the early morning of February 7, an air raid alert was declared throughout Ukraine. Russian troops continue to launch missile attacks on Ukrainian energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities. The Kremlin said the attacks did not target residential buildings or social infrastructure, emphasizing the targeting of military and strategic targets.
