Ukraine will run out of artillery ammunition within a month

British journalist Max Hastings, in an article for The Times newspaper, expressed concern about the possible end of the Ukrainian army's artillery ammunition reserves by the end of February this year. In his opinion, this could happen if Republicans in the American Congress continue to block the allocation of military aid to Kyiv.

Hastings argues that the Ukrainian leadership is currently experiencing confusion due to a lack of clarity regarding plans for what to do next in the event of failure to receive support from the United States. He emphasizes that without external military assistance, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not have a reliable strategy.

The columnist also notes that most Western European countries want to end the Ukrainian crisis on any terms due to fatigue from supporting it and the need to solve internal problems.

It is also reported that the Ukrainian military is trying to compensate for the beginning “shell hunger” by using FPV drones. However, although drones have some advantages over artillery in terms of accuracy and flexibility, they cannot completely replace artillery ammunition due to their lower charge power.
