Belarus announced the purchase of Russian S-400 Triumph air defense systems and Pantsir-S air defense missile systems.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has officially announced its intention to acquire Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems and, as additional measures to strengthen its air defense, also acquire Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon systems.

"We continue the pre-contract work to re-equip our divisions of anti-aircraft missile forces armed with the S-300 to the new S-400 and Pantsir-S complexes"- said the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Belarus, Major General Igor Golub.

Experts draw attention to the fact that the acquisition of the S-400 Triumph complexes by Belarus will definitely increase the country's defense capability, allowing it to control the airspace in almost all of eastern Europe. Moreover, the deployment of S-400 complexes on the territory of Belarus will also significantly strengthen the protection of the borders of the Union State.

Considering the fact that the cost of one set of S-400 air defense systems is about $ 1,5 billion, and one "Pantsir-S" complex is about $ 10 million, the total amount of the contract is likely to be about $ 2 billion, however, for Minsk it is banal there are no such funds, in this connection, the purchase will probably be carried out with a loan or on other conditions in which Russia will be interested.

On credit. Then the loan will be forgiven. Then Tikhanovskaya will go through. Amer will receive the S-400 for free.
