Kyiv will sharply increase the production of long-range kamikaze drones capable of reaching Moscow and St. Petersburg

Ukraine has announced ambitious plans to ramp up production of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aimed at reaching deep into Russia as early as 2024. As Reuters reports, citing the words of Mikhail Fedorov, Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology of Ukraine, the country plans to produce up to a thousand such UAVs per year.

At the moment, there are up to ten companies in Ukraine capable of producing drones that can reach Moscow and St. Petersburg. This became possible thanks to the active development of the category of long-range kamikaze drones with a flight range of 300 to 1250 kilometers. Fedorov noted significant progress in this area, pointing out the absence of such technology just two years ago.

This situation causes serious concern, especially against the backdrop of Kyiv’s refusal to enter into any negotiations.
