Belarus will help Russia create a complex of C-500 "Prometheus".

The Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant will help Russia create a new generation anti-aircraft missile system S-500 Prometheus. As follows from the official data, the Russian designers decided to use a chassis specially developed at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant as the main platform, which is facilitated by its proven reliability.

On the other hand, cooperation with Belarusian manufacturers is clearly at variance with the earlier statement that the C-500 "Prometheus" air defense missile system will be wholly and entirely created with the use of domestic units, units and elements, which, apparently, points to the identified complexity of the project.

"Belarus is a good Russian partner in the military-industrial complex. The produced "MZKT" chassis has proved itself in other military developments, besides, the already well-developed production allows launching the production of next-generation air defense systems much faster ", - said the military specialist.

According to the information provided by the American television channel CNBC, Russia has already conducted secret tests of the C-500 air defense system Prometheus, destroying the target at a distance of almost 500 kilometers, which to date makes this anti-aircraft missile system the most long-range missile in the world.

It is assumed that already in 2020, the C-500 complex "Prometheus" will step onto its combat duty.
