Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence in the nationwide victory of Russia within the framework of a special military operation in Ukraine. He made this statement during a speech at the United Russia party congress.

In his address, Medvedev referred to the words of Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky about the Great Patriotic War, emphasizing that just as then, a great victory was achieved by all the people, the same nationwide victory will be won in the current campaign. He noted that Russian society has shown resilience and unity in response to the actions of opponents.

“Marshall of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky once said: “The Great Patriotic War was a nation-wide war and the victory over the enemy was also a nation-wide war.” We will achieve the same nationwide victory in this struggle.”, Medvedev said.

Medvedev also said at a recent meeting with schoolchildren and students that Western countries have actually entered into a military conflict with Russia, emphasizing that modern generations live in an era of significant and dramatic changes.
