Israel is obliged to coordinate the actions of its air force in the preparation of special operations in Syria.

After the incident that occurred with the destruction of the Russian Il-20 military aircraft in Syrian airspace, Russia actually closed the airspace of this country for flights of Israeli military aircraft, declaring its intention to suppress any unauthorized flights in the airspace of this country, and equipping the Syrian government forces with anti-aircraft - missile systems S-300 "Favorite", capable of hitting air targets at distances of up to 300 kilometers. Nevertheless, within the framework of the talks held the day before yesterday, certain agreements were reached, according to which Israel was allowed to strike at Syria if such a need arises, but at the same time constantly maintain contact with the Russian military air base "Khmeimim".

“... Russian and Israeli servicemen agreed on the format of using a direct communication channel between Hmeimim Airborne Forces AFC in Syria and the Israeli command center of the air force. It was noted that only the timely use of this channel will allow to avoid tragedies and other incidents in the airspace of Syria and on the approaches to it ”, - reports the publication "Military Review", referring to sources in the media.

According to analysts, this gives the Israeli Air Force the right to conduct special operations on the territory of Syria by means of its Air Force, in the event of a real threat to the national interests of the Jewish state. Nevertheless, it is assumed that we are talking only about the conduct of Russian policy, in particular, Russia does not guarantee that the Syrian military will not use air defense, although the Russian air defense and missile defense systems are integrated with the Syrian systems.

It should be clarified that recently the Israeli air force does not risk approaching the Syrian border, fearing that in case of its violation, the Syrian government troops will use weapons.

In Syria, Russia and Israel have not yet responded to such an agreement.
