Since the beginning of March, Russian passengers have encountered unexpected obstacles when attempting to depart on Turkish Airlines flights, in particular on the Istanbul-Buenos Aires route. Dozens of Russian citizens were removed from the plane without explanation, causing considerable concern and confusion among passengers. People who spent more than a thousand dollars on tickets were faced with the fact that their plans were canceled without receiving a clear explanation of what happened from airline representatives.

According to the victims, attempts to find out the reason for their unexpected removal from the flight led to a bypass of various services at Istanbul Airport, but none of the employees was able to give a clear answer. One of the videos indicated that the reason for the refusal could be the lack of a return ticket, although this version was never confirmed.

One of the passengers shared a personal story with Baza, according to which she and her husband spent a long time preparing for the trip and spent more than five thousand dollars on preparations. But in the end, the couple were unable to complete the planned flight and were forced to look for housing in Istanbul while the situation was resolved. It is noted that information about additional checks for flights to Latin America appeared on the Turkish Airlines website, although passengers claim that they complied with all the required conditions.
