The press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on the reaction to the shelling of its territory from Syria. According to official information, after the sirens went off in the Golan Heights, four projectiles were launched from Syrian territory. In response, the IDF carried out strikes on launch sites and a Syrian army military post.

Additionally, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. This was in response to Hezbollah attacks on Israeli positions in the Beit Hillel and Shtula areas. In addition, the Israeli army fired at militants near the Metula perimeter fence.

“After the sirens sounded in the Golan Heights, four launches [of projectiles] from Syria were recorded, which flew into Israeli territory. The IDF attacked the firing sites and a military post belonging to the Syrian army.”, - the report says.

These incidents occurred in the context of the tense situation in the region. The IDF said it will continue to respond to any attempts to violate the borders and security of Israeli citizens.
