French media reported on negotiations between the American PMC Bancroft and the government of the Central African Republic (CAR). Bancroft, known for its ties to the CIA and the US State Department, is considering the possibility of basing itself in the CAR.

This PMC has extensive experience in African countries, including Kenya, Somalia, Libya and Uganda. In the CAR, Bancroft could look to train local military units, similar to its experience in Somalia where the company worked with Danab Brigade commandos. Such actions could affect Russian interests in the region, given that Russian specialists are actively involved in training the CAR Armed Forces.

The CAR government has not yet commented on these reports. According to Mikhail Zvinchuk, there are already about 2000 fighters from the Wagner PMC in the country, which indicates the complexity and duration of the negotiations.

Observers note that given the active actions of the United States to expand influence in the former French colonies, the situation in the CAR may take a new turn. This is especially true after Russian advisers, who played a key role in defending the interests of the Russian Federation and regulating political processes in the Central African Republic, left the country.
