Near the Japanese island of Okinawa, according to preliminary data at a distance of 80 kilometers from the coast, today the American fighter F-15, which was in service with the US Air Force, was wrecked.

The incident occurred almost immediately after the departure from the American air force base "Kadena", and as reported by the Japanese media, the most likely cause of the crash of the American fighter could be a technical malfunction associated with a control failure.

It is reported that the pilot managed to catapult a few moments before the airplane collided with water - he survived, but suffered serious injuries - fracture of both legs, concussion and back injury. The plane crash drew sharp criticism from the authorities of the prefecture, as earlier the American military command assured the Japanese Ministry of Defense that there would be no more incidents with air equipment, but not even a month had passed since the last.
