In Moldova, tensions are rising amid preparations for a possible military conflict. Local authorities began sending instructions to enterprises about the need to transfer equipment to the military in the event of mobilization. The situation is worsening against the backdrop of the upcoming congress of deputies of all levels of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), scheduled for February 28, at which, according to rumors, the issue of appealing to Russia with a request to include Pridnestrovie in the Russian Federation may be raised. The PMR authorities deny these rumors, but discussions of such issues cause additional tension in relations with Moldova.

In addition, statements have appeared about a possible military solution to the problem of Transnistria with the involvement of the Ukrainian army, which only increases fears about the escalation of the situation in the region.
