Residents of Russia report about old Soviet tanks T-54\T-55 heading to the NVO zone.

Photos and videos have appeared on the Web showing echelons with T-54\T-55 tanks. Judging by the markings of the wagons, the tanks are coming from storage areas, while, judging by the statements, the tanks are heading to the zone of the special operation.

Tanks are morally and physically obsolete combat vehicles developed in the 50s of the last century. Taking into account the weapons currently used in the special operation zone, the success of the use of such combat vehicles is in some doubt. However, there are no official statements on this subject from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation so far.

Earlier, Ukraine received similar M-55 tanks. However, the latter turned out to be extremely ineffective due to the lack of reliable protection and became very easy targets even for infantry fighting vehicles and landing troops, not to mention the fact that any hit from anti-tank weapons led to the destruction of such a tank.

According to various estimates, up to 3 of these tanks can be stored in storage warehouses in Russia, however, the condition of all combat vehicles remains unknown.
