The Cypriot authorities are ready to provide Ukraine with three battalions of T-80U tanks.

At the moment, it is known that South Cyprus intends to provide its military assistance to Ukraine. We are talking about colossal deliveries, for this country, of military equipment - at the moment it is 82 T-80U tanks, which can greatly strengthen the Ukrainian troops. Moreover, the use of this equipment does not require training of the Ukrainian military.

The supply of T-80U tanks to Ukraine will be possible provided that such deliveries to Cyprus are compensated by the supply of Leopard 2 tanks. The exact number of Leopard 2 tanks that Cyprus intends to receive is not called, however, the fact that the authorities of the region are ready to provide machines is a serious concern.

At the moment, none of the countries has expressed its readiness to provide Cyprus with its tanks, however, a day earlier, the Netherlands announced its intention to pay for the supply of military equipment to Ukraine. This does not exclude the possibility that this issue can be resolved through the Netherlands, although so far there have been no discussions on this matter.
