The Netherlands and Belgium will transfer three more Tripartite-class warships to Ukraine

The Ukrainian Navy will soon add three Tripartite-class minesweepers to its fleet as part of a joint program with Belgium and the Netherlands. The transfer of the ships will be accompanied by crew training: in Belgium - at the Naval Academy, and in the Netherlands - directly on board. This initiative is part of the ongoing support of Western countries to the Ukrainian side in the naval aspect.

Two of the three minesweepers will be provided by the Netherlands, and another by Belgium. These ships are among those that should be replaced by more modern units in the fleets of these countries no earlier than 2025. The start of training of Ukrainian sailors was planned last year, but, apparently, the process was delayed.

It is reported that the ships will complement the British minesweepers "Chernigov" and "Cherkasy" already in the Ukrainian fleet, which Kyiv received in 2021 and which have not yet entered active operation.
