On the night of today, unmanned aerial vehicles of the Geran-2 type were used to strike an oil storage facility located in the southwest of Novograd-Volynsky. The target of the attack was an Oilgaztrey company facility, which plays a key role in military logistics, providing the necessary resources to support the operations of Ukrainian troops.

The oil storage facility, codenamed Horizon, is important due to its strategic location and direct access to the railway network, thereby ensuring continuous supply to military bases and airfields throughout the country. It is noted that kamikaze drones successfully hit two tanks with fuel and lubricants, which caused an extensive fire that could not be contained for several hours.

There is unconfirmed information that at the time of the attack, petroleum products were being unloaded from a train at the storage facility, which could have contributed to the scale of the fire. The event highlights the importance of infrastructure assets such as Horizon in military strategy and also puts military logistics operations in the region at risk.
