Four Su-57 fighters suppressed air defense in Ukraine

Russia used its Su-57s for the first time in a military special operation in Ukraine.

Four Russian Su-57s suppressed Ukrainian air defense facilities. This is the first, according to the data presented, the combat use of Su-57 fighters as part of the ongoing special operation and, probably, the first combat use of serial fifth-generation Su-57 fighters (pre-production fifth-generation fighters were involved in Syria - ed.).

"The aircraft were united into an information network through an automatic communication system, data transmission, navigation and real-time identification", - reports the source of "RIA Novosti".

According to the data presented, Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters were used to suppress air defense systems, but no details on this have yet been announced.

According to unofficial data, the Russian Aerospace Forces is armed with five serial fifth-generation Su-57 fighters - two of them were transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces a few weeks ago, however, officially Russia is armed with only one fifth-generation combat aircraft, which arrived in 2021.

When exactly the VKS fighters were used to suppress air defense systems is not specified.
