French President Emmanuel Macron at the NATO summit held in Vilnius announced his country's intention to transfer long-range missiles to Ukraine. France has already donated 50 long-range SCALP missiles to Ukraine, which will be modified for use on Soviet aircraft, according to the Reuters news agency, based on information from a French diplomatic source.

"We are talking about the delivery of 50 SCALP missiles from the European manufacturer MBDA", the agency claims.

An informant in French military circles specifies that the missiles will be removed from the country's military stocks.

It is noted that these missiles will be integrated into the control systems of Soviet-made combat aircraft. At the same time, they assure in Paris that they do not perceive this delivery of SCALP missiles as a step towards the escalation of military tension.
