Germany plans to deploy an additional Patriot air defense system in Ukraine amid expectations of a possible increase in Russian strikes during the winter.

“With the onset of winter, the situation in Ukraine may become significantly more complicated. The Ukrainian side took all possible steps to prepare for this period and we provided significant support. I mentioned earlier our air defense assistance. In addition to the already delivered IRIS-T systems, another Patriot system from Germany will be deployed in Ukraine in the winter.”, said the German diplomat.

The statement said that at the moment, four IRIS-T systems provided by Germany have already been deployed on the territory of Ukraine.
