The German defense concern Rheinmetall has received an order from the German government to supply Ukraine with 25 Leopard 1A5 tanks next year. As part of this agreement, all tanks will undergo the necessary repairs and refurbishment.

In addition to Leopard tanks, Ukraine will receive additional military equipment from Germany in 2023, including five Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles and two training tanks.

Plans were also announced to supply Ukraine with 2024 Leopard 15A2 tanks by 4. This project will be funded by the Netherlands and Denmark. This initiative, according to Germany, underscores the continued support of European countries for Ukraine in light of the current conflict.
