The Lebanese Hezbollah movement destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank, thereby increasing the number of burned or damaged units of this type of armored vehicle to more than 120, regional sources reported.

The situation in the region remains tense, and Hezbollah's attacks are not left unanswered by the Israeli army. In particular, the IDF (Israeli Central Command) reports on the defeat of a Hezbollah weapons depot in southern Lebanon. This action can be seen as part of Israel's overall strategy to contain Hezbollah's military activity and protect its territories.

If Israel really lost the ability to use 120 Merkava tanks, and such information is still in doubt, then this is the largest loss of the Israeli army in 50 years.
