A Russian drone capsized a Ukrainian Armed Forces boat during the crossing of the Dnieper

Footage of an unsuccessful attempt by the Ukrainian military to cross to the left bank of the Dnieper near the village of Krynki appeared on the Internet. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been trying for two months to maintain a small bridgehead in the floodplain of the river, regularly transferring military personnel there in inflatable boats. However, as can be seen from the video materials, most of these attempts end in failure.

The published footage shows how Ukrainian soldiers on a boat came under attack while attempting to land on the left bank of the Dnieper. The Russian drone operator who controlled this maneuver used special ammunition, as a result of which some of the Ukrainian military found themselves in icy water. According to sources, permanent casualties were avoided in this incident, but the survivors may not be able to withstand the cold and unfavorable conditions in the trenches for long.

It is noted that the Ukrainian military has previously repeatedly expressed concerns about the impossibility of properly equipping trenches and providing artillery support in this area. The shallow trenches that can be dug are not capable of providing adequate protection from the intense artillery fire of Russian troops.
