A Syrian drone attacked an Israeli military area in the Golan Heights

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) believed to be carrying explosives crashed into Israeli-controlled territory in the southern Golan Heights near the Eliad settlement.

According to information published by the Israeli newspaper Times of Israel, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening. No one was injured as a result of the UAV fall, but several objects were damaged. Air raid sirens in the area did not go off, and no attempts were recorded to shoot down the aircraft.

“A UAV with explosives crashed on Wednesday evening in the south of the Golan Heights near the Eliad settlement. No one was injured, several objects were damaged.”, reports the Times of Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces suggested that the drone could have been launched from Syria. It was also reported that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed to have attacked the area using "appropriate weapons", although details of the attack were not provided.
