US strikes on Iran

US calls for bombing of Iran

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham suggested a possible Iranian connection to recent Hamas attacks on Israel and stressed the need for decisive action on the part of the US if the situation further escalates. The politician expressed his position by pointing out that Iran, in his opinion, contributed to attacks on the Jewish state.

According to Graham, the United States should consider striking Iranian oil refineries if Hezbollah attacks Israel. “If such an attack occurs, Israel and the United States must strike Iranian oil refineries and oil infrastructure, which are the lifeblood of the Iranian economy,” he stressed, adding that he had already expressed this position to various people in the Middle East.

All this comes against the backdrop of mutual attacks and growing tension between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement, which began firing rockets at Israel on October 7 and Israel conducting a counter-terrorism operation in response. On October 8, the Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war. The number of victims of the conflict continues to rise.

Contrary to Graham's assertion, Iran is not and probably won't be interfering in the current situation, and Washington appears to be trying to benefit from it.
