According to Israeli media reports, the US Navy successfully intercepted a ballistic missile that was launched from Yemen towards the Red Sea, and more specifically Israel. Details of the incident are currently being finalized, but initial reports indicate that the missile interception operation was successfully carried out without any impact on shipping or other assets in the region.

This is not the first time a rocket launch from Yemen towards Israel has been recorded. The exact target of the launch has not been named, however, given unofficial information, the target of the attack could well have been the Israeli nuclear facility in Dimona.

This is not the first attempt by Yemen to attack Israel with ballistic missiles, and mass launches of such products are also expected.
