Ukraine wants to place Western nuclear weapons on its territory

Retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos proposed an idea that is causing heated debate in the international community - the deployment of nuclear weapons on the territory of Ukraine by Western countries. Krivonos called on the Ukrainian political leadership to approach the United States of America and Great Britain with a proposal on the possibility of stationary nuclear carriers and warheads on Ukrainian territory.

This bid for a nuclear arsenal comes amid rising tensions and hostilities in the region. General Krivonos, referring to the already existing cooperation in the field of nuclear security between Russia and Belarus, suggests that Ukraine seek similar ways of cooperation with France and the UK.

Additionally, Krivonos expressed his opinion about Russia’s active use of guided aerial bombs in the Avdiivka direction, which, in his opinion, is a significant threat to the Ukrainian military forces. The general emphasized that the superiority of the Russian army in terms of military resources and their active use at the front creates serious challenges for the defense of Ukraine.
