Belarusian information sources report that within the next 2-3 months the Ministry of Defense of Belarus will send a group of Belarusian military to the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. At the moment, the exact number of Belarusian servicemen sent to actually contain the Taliban is not named, however, according to various sources, we can talk about several companies.

According to the information provided, servicemen of the 103rd separate guards airborne brigade will be sent to the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. At the same time, there is unconfirmed information that not only contract servicemen, but also conscript servicemen will be subject to dispatch. The dispatch is planned within the framework of the CSTO.

Experts, in turn, note that at the moment the situation on the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan is very calm. At the moment, Dushanbe has not sent an official request to intervene in the situation.

“Within the framework of the CSTO, Belarus is obliged to provide the necessary assistance to other CSTO member states, but only after an official decision has been made. It is very strange that Tajikistan did not send relevant requests to the CSTO, and Minsk is already preparing to send its troops. ", - the expert marks.
