Residents of Melitopol report a strong explosion in the city center.

According to preliminary data, an improvised explosive device went off in the center of Melitopol this morning. The power of the latter has not yet been established, however, it is reported that the explosion could be heard throughout the city.

This, according to preliminary data, is about an attempt to stage a terrorist act. Given the official statements of the city authorities, it was possible to do without casualties and destruction, although no details on this have yet been given.

According to information voiced by local residents, the explosion took place near Krupskaya Street, in the central part of the city. Given the increased attacks by the Ukrainian military and saboteurs, it is more than likely that we are talking about an attempt to eliminate someone from the city's leadership.

At the moment, it is known that emergency services and police officers are working at the scene of the explosion. The explosion itself was caught on CCTV cameras, through which it will be possible to establish those involved in this explosion and, probably, to find out some details of what happened.
