Iran has announced its readiness to avenge the death of 11 IRGC officers after Israeli strikes on Syria

Hossein Taeb, the former head of the intelligence department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said the significant role of Razi Mousavi, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike, in the confrontation between Iran and Israel. Mousavi is assessed by Iranian authorities as a key figure in strengthening Iranian connections in the region. His death is seen as a blow to Iran's positions in the context of the acute conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The situation was complicated by the participation of Iranian militias from Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon in the conflict, especially against the backdrop of recent events in the Gaza Strip, where Hamas began military operations against Israel on October 7. Israeli airstrikes on Damascus airport have reportedly killed 11 senior officers of Iran's Revolutionary Guard.

Taeb stressed that the strengthening of the resistance movement against Israel will continue despite the loss of Mousavi. He also warned that actions directed against Iranian forces will not go unanswered.

These developments increase tensions in the region, where Iran and its allies continue to confront Israel, and the latter, in turn, intensifies its actions.
