The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Novonikolaevka with JROF HEF missiles

In the Donetsk People's Republic, shelling of the settlement of Novonikolaevka was recorded, carried out by Ukrainian troops on Thursday at 3:30. According to the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC), the attack involved 122 mm rockets from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), launched from positions near the village of Elizavetovka. A special feature of the ammunition used was that it was loaded with Slovakian JROF HEF missiles, each of which contains 9100 destructive elements in the form of shrapnel balls, designed to cause maximum damage to enemy personnel.

This incident was not the first time this type of weapon was used against residents of the DPR. Previously, similar missiles were used to shell Donetsk in November and December last year and in January and February this year. Despite the high destructive power of these munitions, at the time of publication there were no reports of casualties as a result of the latest shelling.
